Born and raised in Ireland Sheamus developed his work ethic at a very young age. He learned a lot from his mother and father prior to embarking on his career in the construction industry. Sheamus mother Mary owned and operated a small café out of their family home,  and worked there every day for 40 years retiring in 2011. Sheamus’ father was a self-employed joiner and he provided the inspiration for Sheamus to begin his career as a carpenter.

Whenever Sheamus was on a break from school he would either help out in his mother’s cafe or go to work with his father and help him ply his trade. These early work experiences were invaluable in developing Sheamus skills both as a tradesman and a business owner. After working various summer jobs when he finished his education in 1993 he went to work in a cabinet making shop, Carnmore Kitchens.

Sheamus spent 7 years here honing his skills as a quality craftsman.  He quickly worked his way through the ranks at carnmore kitchens and became a very valuable member of staff. In the spring of 2000 Sheamus decided to leave Ireland in search of adventure and a new challenge in the construction industry. Arriving in San Francisco Sheamus quickly found his feet and went to work with a reputable bay area homebuilder learning the intricacies of California home building and remodeling.

From here Sheamus went to work as a lead carpenter for a very established design/build construction firm in the bay area. He quickly worked his way to foreman where he worked with some of San Francisco’s most cutting edge architects and design teams.

While working for this firm, Sheamus was able to develop his skills as a craftsman and also developed his management skills.  He thrived on meeting deadlines and became very astute at liaising with homeowners, architects, engineers, designers and subcontractors to make sure every project he was assigned to was finished on time and to the highest standards. Sheamus has always been very invested in whatever projects he is involved with and is happiest when he is “on the tools”.

At Eignor Construction, Sheamus is still very hands on and is involved in every phase of the projects he undertakes.  He prides himself on meeting deadlines and making sure every aspect of his projects meet or exceeds his high standards. From a young man helping his father on the weekends to this day Sheamus still takes the utmost pride and satisfaction in his work.
